
AIG makes senior FX appointments
Lee will replace Mike Field, who left AIG after 12 years’ service last month.
In London, Flemming Overgaard joins the firm, as vice-president, FX sales. Overgaard will join AIG from Saxo Bank in Copenhagen, where he was global head of FX sales. Prior to that, he was European head of FX sales at Credit Suisse First Boston in London. At AIG, he will report to head of FX sales Quentin Smith, who joined the bank from Merrill Lynch earlier this year.
The second hire to AIG’s London office, Mark Statham, joins as a vice-president in FX trading. He will trade spot sterling and related crosses in the European timezone. Statham joins AIG from Merrill Lynch in London, where he traded cable, and will report to Harry Culham, head of FX trading. Culham joined AIG earlier this year, also from Merrill Lynch.
In Paris, Anne Drebel will join AIG as a vice-president in FX sales. She will report to Smith and joins the firm from Citigroup Private Bank in London.
