Cognotec hires three senior managers

Cognotec, the Dublin-based foreign exchange vendor, has recruited three senior managers, including two new members of its board.

James McNaught-Davis rejoins the Cognotec board, having served on it from 1998 to 2002 through his role as managing director at Warburg Pincus, the private equity firm. He is also chairman of trading technology firm Advent, and a non-executive director at Fineos, the banking and insurance software company.

Bernadette Cullinan has been appointed to the board in the new post of deputy chief executive. She was previously chief executive of SteelTrace, the Dublin-based IT vendor, which was acquired by Detroit firm Compuware in April.

Michael Thrower also joins Cognotec as head of sales and marketing from New York-based technology firm Wall Street Systems, where he was director of marketing and business development.
