Deutsche rejigs global markets roles

Deutsche Bank has appointed Wolfgang Matis as head of global markets for its trading and structuring division in Europe.

The position had been held for several months by Ivor Dunbar in addition to his role as global head of capital markets, which he retains.

Matis, who will remain in Frankfurt, was head of the German global markets business and will directly head Austria and Switzerland, as well as being overall European head. He will report to Anshu Jain.

In addition, Matt Press will head global markets in western Europe and report to Matis. The role is a new one that consolidates the existing western European territories covered by the bank. Press continues as global head of structured capital markets, reporting to Rajeev Misra, global head of credit trading.
