Dresdner hires new director in hedge fund sales group

Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein has hired Jean Pierre Engele as a director in its equity hedge fund sales team.

Engele will be based in London and report to Simon Taylor, head of the European risk arbitrage and relative value strategies team. The appointment follows the German investment bank’s reorganisation of its equity hedge fund services business.

Engele will be an important contributor to Dresdner’s new approach of offering more integrated hedge fund services, Taylor said. Before joining Dresdner, Engele had worked in Deutsche Bank’s relative-value sales team and with Cross Asset Management, the London based event-driven fund.
