Barbakadze joins F&C as head of structured credit

Barbakadze will be responsible for structuring, marketing and distributing structured credit products. He will report to the head of fixed income, Jacob De Wit. He joins from Société Générale, where he was head of cash collateralised debt obligations for Europe.

F&C said it plans to develop a CDO platform this year as part of its accelerated growth plan; it is also setting up a quantitative equity investment strategies team and has hired a team of hedge fund specialists to launch a fixed-income hedge fund.
