Goodman to head emerging market FX at BoA

Bank of America (BoA) has recruited Lawrence Goodman, formerly a US government economist, to head its global emerging market foreign exchange team.

Goodman spent two years as director of the US Treasury Department's Office of Quantitative Policy Analysis. He will move to New York, where he will report to Robert Sinche, head of global foreign exchange strategy.

“With more than 20 years' experience analysing global economies and financial market trends, Larry is a valuable addition to our strategy team and will help us continue the tremendous growth in the global FX footprint we’ve experienced over the past year,” Sinche said.

Sinche's team has also taken on four new currency strategists. Kamal Sharma will cover G10 currencies, in particular sterling and Scandinavian currencies, from London. Christy Tan and Yeo Han Sia will cover Southeast Asian markets from Singapore, and Steve Wang in Hong Kong will provide analytical support for the Asian strategy team.
