HKEx names new head of risk management

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx) has appointed Kevin King as head of risk management, effective today. He replaces Stewart Shing, who was previously acting head of risk management and head of clearing, a position he retains.

King has 30 years’ experience in corporate finance, risk management advisory services and exchanges/clearing house risk management, most recently as head of risk management at Nasdaq OMX Derivatives Markets in Stockholm.

Before that, he had held management positions in several financial institutions in New York, including Rabobank International, Nordea Bank, IBJ Schroder Bank & Trust and Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co, now JP Morgan Chase.
