Fortis CRO Henrard joins management committee

Luc Henrard, chief risk officer at Fortis, has joined the Benelux bancassurer’s management committee.

Henrard, 49, has spent the past six years constructing an internal risk, capital and value management framework for the entire Fortis group. He also teaches risk management at the Faculties Universitaires Notre Dame de la Paix at the Université Catholique de Louvain.

He has also worked as a member of Fortis Bank’s credit management team and headed the asset and liability management department at the pre-merger Generale Bank. And earlier in his career at the bank, he ran its Tokyo dealing room.
