Isda AGM: Isda names new chairman

The International Swaps and Derivatives Association (Isda) named Eraj Shirvani, a credit trading specialist at Credit Suisse, as its new chairman at its annual general meeting in Vienna today.

Shirvani is head of European credit, and of European and Asian credit sales and trading, at Credit Suisse. He joined the Isda board in 2004. He is also a member of the bank's derivatives committee, and a member of the board for Clearing Corporation and for DerivServ, the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation's automated over-the-counter derivatives matching and confirmation service.

He succeeds Jonathan Moulds, Bank of America's president for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, who had been chairman since 2004.
