Bear Stearns names new European heads

Bear Stearns has named two new heads of European operations, both to be based in London.

Paul Brannan joins as European head of prime brokerage. He was previously global head of client service, transition and client-facing technology at Lehman Brothers. Brannan will report to Bear Stearns' heads of prime brokerage, Leonard Feder and Louis Lebedin, as well as the London heads of equities, Vincent van Pelt and Nicolo Brandolini D'Adda.

Andrew Jamieson, now Bear's European head of equity finance, was previously a director of equity finance at Barclays Capital, where he focused on hedge funds, securities lending and synthetics. He will report to the head of synthetic equity finance, Jeremy Hill, to the head of stock loan, Pat Cestaro, and to Brannan.
