Merrill Lynch hires Pringle in revamp of derivatives team

Merrill Lynch has appointed Michael Pringle as managing director and head of flow derivatives and equity risk in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Emea).

Pringle, who previously worked at Credit Suisse in a senior derivatives trading role, will have responsibility for managing the flow derivatives businesses: single stock, index and delta one, as well as risk across the equity franchise.

Merrill Lynch has suffered a series of departures from its corporate equity derivatives team this year.

Pringle will be based in London and report to Brent Clapacs, managing director and head of equities for the Emea region.
