New credit heads at GFI

Credit derivatives brokerage GFI has named two new senior managers at its New York office.

Jim Higgins joins GFI as head of North American credit brokerage. He was previously co-head of global credit trading at Citi. Reporting to him will be Scott Wilson, the new head of structured credit products; he was previously GFI's head of new business development in structured credit.

Higgins left Citi after the bank reorganised its emerging markets credit and global credit businesses into a single division in August last year, cutting 30 jobs. He was succeeded by the bank's new head of global credit trading, Carey Lathrop.
