Caruana named head of Basel Committee
Jaime Caruana (right), governor of the Bank of Spain, will replace William McDonough as chairman of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision on July 1.
The committee has also appointed Nick Le Pan, financial institutions superintendent at Canada’s Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, to the newly created position of vice-chairman of the committee.
