JP Morgan AI research founder and head departs

Manuela Veloso has left her role as head of artificial intelligence research at JP Morgan Chase, after almost eight years at the US bank.

In a LinkedIn post published on February 19, Veloso said she was stepping down from her position. She joined the bank in July 2018 to lead its newly created AI research group, taking a leave of absence from her role as a professor of computer science at Carnegie
