Fed official confirms US targeting 2025 for Basel III adoption
US regulators also preparing more guidance on concentration risk for outsourcing providers
A senior official at the Federal Reserve Board has given the clearest indication yet that the Basel III regulatory framework will be applied to US banks from January 2025, in line with the target date for the European Union.
To meet this deadline, US banks can expect an initial draft from the Fed by the first quarter of next year at the latest.
