Schroders staffs up

Schroders has hired Mike Bussey, the chief executive for Europe of HSBC Republic, to be its chief executive, working in the private banking and alternative investment team in London.

Bussey will join in April. Schroders has also appointed marketing manager Lloyd Reynolds, who was previously with JP Morgan Chase, and John Trueman, previously chairman of Bank of New York's RBS Trust, as a non-executive director.

Schroders plans to launch two hedge funds to add to the two that it currently runs.
