Rhetoric is growing more heated in Washington, DC over two financial issues of great importance to the electric power industry – regulating the country’s over-the-counter derivatives markets and setting the tax rates on dividends and capital gains. Both issues hold great significance not only for electric utilities as they work to build a more efficient, clean, and reliable electric power system
