Credit Suisse names Abbasi as new Asia chief exec

Credit Suisse has appointed Osama Abbasi to take over as chief executive of the Asia-Pacific region from Kai Nargolwala, who will become the bank’s chairman for the region, a newly created role. Both appointments will be effective on October 1.

Abbasi, currently head of the equities department of the investment bank in Asia-Pacific, will join the group’s executive board. He will be responsible for
