‘Revolutionary’ voluntary carbon platform won’t transform market, say experts

A new platform for electronic trading of voluntary carbon credits, claiming to revolutionise the market, has met a muted response from industry participants

The Carbon Trade Exchange (CTX), launched on 7 June, will target small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), not regulated under the European Union's Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS), looking to offset their carbon emissions through the use of Voluntary Emission Reductions (VERs).
