CFTC commissioner says Lincoln's proposal to ban federal support for swaps might not fly
Preventing swaps dealers, major swap participants, exchanges and clearing platforms from qualifying for any kind of federal assistance, as proposed by the US Senate on May 20, would be a controversial step and might not survive in the final version of the legislation, according to Michael Dunn, commissioner at the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
