Blundell joins Aviva as senior portfolio manager

Aviva Investors has appointed a new senior portfolio manager to its credit division.

Simon Blundell will start in this newly created position on October 12, and report to head of credit, Mark Wauton.

Blundell joins after 11 years in asset management at ABN Amro, where his most recent role was head of investment grade credit. He has experience of both benchmarked and absolute return funds, and has previously run long/short, carry and mean-reverting strategies, as well as long-only portfolios.

Blundell will be based in the firm’s London office.
