Fitch opens Madrid desk

Fitch Ratings has opened a Madrid office, adding to its existing Spanish presence in Barcelona. The office is staffed by five analysts, all focusing on rating structured finance deals.

The office will help Fitch develop its ratings activities further in Spain, says Fernando Mayorga, head of Spanish operations for Fitch in Barcelona.
