Barcap adds in equity derivatives

UK-based investment bank Barclays Capital has made two appointments to its equity derivatives team in London.

Regis Loeb joins as head of European index options trading. He moves from Credit Suisse First Boston where he headed index options trading in London. He reports to Franck Lacour, head of volatility trading.

Mohamed Yangui joins from Credit Lyonnais in London to become an equity derivatives structurer. He was previously head of new products development within equity derivatives. At Barclays Capital he will report to head of equity derivatives structuring Hassan Houari.

Dixit Joshi, Barclays Capital’s head of equity derivatives trading, said the two brought experience in a range of products and markets that would strengthen the banks equity-linked service.

The bank said it plans further hires in equity derivatives roles in the US and Asia in the coming months.
