Friends appoints new CFO

UK life insurer and pensions provider Friends Provident has appointed Evelyn Bourke as chief financial officer (CFO). Bourke joins from Standard Life, where she was CFO. Charles Bellringer will remain Friends' interim CFO during Bourke's six-month notice period.

Bourke joined Standard Life in 2005 as group strategy and planning director and was then appointed group actuarial
