TFS starts brokering CDM and JI emissions credits

TFS, a New York-based inter-dealer broker, has started brokering emissions credits under the Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI) schemes.

The new CDM and JI business unit will be based in London with the European markets team, led by John Molloy. Lucy Mortimer, a senior emissions broker who recently joined TFS from emissions brokerage CO2e, will be responsible for the CDM and JI projects business.

CDM and JI are schemes whereby a ‘donor’ country invests in pollution-reduction measures in a ‘host’ country in return for emissions
