MCeX to launch carbon futures
The Montreal Climate Exchange (MCeX), a joint venture between Montreal Exchange (MX) and the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), is to launch futures contracts on Canada carbon dioxide equivalent units on May 30, 2008.
MCeX set the launch date after the Canadian government announced further details of its greenhouse gas emissions regulations, initially announced in July 2007. The exchange said that its
