London to be world carbon market centre

The UK’s early move into carbon emissions trading means London is now well placed to become a world centre for the emerging carbon market, UK Environment Minister Elliot Morley said Wednesday.

Speaking at the launch of the London Climate Change Service Providers Group, a 70-member strong trading association whose members help businesses conform to European and Kyoto Protocol regulations, Morley said tackling climate change provides a “very real and concrete opportunity for business.”
