Of all the banks boosting their derivatives businesses in Asia, one name has attracted a particularly high level of interest recently: The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). The firm first drew attention due to a hiring spree of talent from bigger European and US banks that started in early 2005. RBS was again in the limelight in August, when it led a consortium that bought 10% of Bank of China (BoC)
