Abacha family to return loot to Nigeria

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND -- The family of the late Sani Abacha, the former Nigerian dictator, has agreed to return more than $1 billion in looted funds in return for the dropping of theft and money-laundering charges against Abacha’s son and one of the dictatorbusiness associates, the Swiss Federal Office of Justice (FOJ) said in mid-April.
