Nomura builds up international credit group
Nomura International has made eight new appointments in London, New York and Hong Kong for its global credit group, which specialises in structured credit products and trading. The additions come as Nomura seeks to expand this particular business line in tandem with the growth within its fixed-income group.
In London, there have been four appointments. Robert Landauer joins from Goldman Sachs as a director in the credit structuring group. At Goldman, he was an executive director in the structured transactions group responsible for expanding its new product group.
Erik Beal will become the director of emerging market trading in the credit investment group. He comes from Cargill Financial Services International, where he was a vice-president in the emerging markets fixed-income division.
Graham Hawkes joins from Commerzbank Securities as a vice-president in credit flow trading. At Commerzbank he had been a senior credit trader.
In the corporate trading area of the credit investment group, Loic Montserret joins as a vice-president. He crosses over from BNP Paribas, where he had been a credit derivatives trader.
In New York, Nomura has made three appointments. Eric Langille and George O’Dowd both come over from Commerzbank. Langille joins as a director and co-head of credit flow trading international. O’Dowd joins as a managing director and head of the New York credit structuring group.
Also in New York, Scott Rodman joins from Deutsche Bank. Rodman will be a managing director and product manager of the credit structuring group.
Finally, Nomura has made one appointment in Hong Kong. Debbie Min will be head of credit structuring. She comes to Nomura from Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore.
