BofA hires four to European fixed-income division

Banc of America Securities has hired Mitchell Lench, Andrew Panteli, John Oei and Jules Putterman to its European fixed-income division.

Lench joined as managing director of BofA’s structured credit products group in London, and will focus mainly on structuring and originating collateralised debt obligations (CDOs). Lench was previously a senior structured finance specialist in charge of the European CDO team at rating agency Fitch. Panteli, meanwhile, joined as a principal in BofA’s structured securities group in London, and will develop structured fund-linked investment products. He previously headed alternative investment research at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.

Jules Putterman has moved to BofA’s London commodities team as a managing director, and will work to strengthen the firm’s European distribution capabilities. He joins from Morgan Stanley, where he had been a founding member and head of the US investment bank’s energy derivatives group.

John Oei, who was previously at JP Morgan Securities, has been hired as vice-president in the debt capital markets origination group, and will focus on coverage of selected UK, Scandinavian, US and Canadian issuers.
