RBS makes credit hires in Asia

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has made two new credit derivatives hires in Asia. Jaeik Oh joins as senior structurer in the credit derivatives structuring and CDOs group in Tokyo, and Mrinal Sharma joins as a graduate trainee in the same group in Hong Kong.

Oh previously worked at Calyon, where he was a director in the structuring team covering products including distressed collateralised debt obligations (CDOs), collateralised bond obligations, residential mortgage-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, liability management and repackaged credits.

Oh succeeds Yukio Miyamae, but with responsibility for Korea as well as Japan. Miyamae is no longer with RBS, but the bank declined to comment on what he is doing now. Oh reports to Stephen Wong, head of credit derivatives structuring and CDOs for the Asia-Pacific region.

Sharma was previously part of ICICI Bank’s proprietary structured credit investment team in India, where he managed its CDO bespoke tranches.
