Babson Capital Management expands new business arm
Massachusetts-headquartered Babson Capital Management has expanded its global business development arm, with the additions of Paul Gehrig and David Acampora.
Gehrig, who will be based in the asset-management firm's Charlotte office, will take on the role of product manager, responsible for the development and distribution support of corporate-bond backed funds and separate accounts. Prior to his appointment at Babson Capital, Gehrig worked at Wachovia as a managing director on their structured credit products origination and execution division.
Acampora will take on the role of developing and managing relationships with investment consultants, and will be based at the company's Springfield office. His experience prior to this includes a stint at Shenkman Capital Management where he served as product specialist and vice president of business development.
The global business development unit was established in December and is led by Anthony Sciacca.
