Freddie Mac's ex-CEO rejoins within a month of resigning
The ex-chief executive of US government-supported mortgage buyer Freddie Mac, David Moffett, has rejoined the firm only a month after he resigned.
This news follows the death of acting chief financial officer David Kellermann on April 22.
Moffett takes up the position of adviser to interim chief executive John Koskinen. In this role, Moffett will provide advice and assistance in directing the finance division and overseeing the issuance of accurate and timely financial statements.
"I am grateful to David for offering to assist us during this challenging time," Koskinen said. "David is well positioned to advise me in my oversight of the finance function. He knows the company well from his time as chief executive."
Moffett left Freddie Mac on March 11, when the company reported a loss of $50.1 billion for 2008.
