Trading Technologies expands team in Asia
Chicago-based trading platform provider Trading Technologies (TT) has made several hires in Asia, following the opening of its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore in July.
Toshimasa Fujii joined in September as managing director for Tokyo. He returned to Japan to start his role in early October after training in Chicago, London and Singapore. Fujii was previously sales and account manager of global managed services at Misys International Banking Systems.
TT is also transferring several sales and support specialists from its Chicago and London offices and hiring other staff throughout the region.
In charge of Asia-Pacific operations is former London managing director Robbie McDonnell, who transferred to Singapore earlier this year. He has been with TT since 1998 and is now managing director, Asia-Pacific sales.
The vendor has signed up three new major clients in Asia in recent months: French financial firm Calyon in early October, Singapore Exchange in August and Sydney Futures Exchange in May. TT now has 13 exchange clients, a figure that should rise to 15 or 16 by the end of the year, said McDonnell.
The company, whose flagship product is order-entry system X-Trader, provides front-end software for derivatives trading. It has offices in Hong Kong, Sydney and Tokyo, as well as its Singapore branch, which was the latest to open.
