CCPs in talks with dealers as bond boom fuels growing demand for financing

Both LCH and the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) are exploring launching repo clearing services for Australian government bonds, as the country’s fixed income market pulls in rising volumes of international capital.

Representatives from the two clearing houses have been in talks with an industry committee convened by the Australian Financial Markets Association in recent months, with dealers
