In a year of hectic volatility on the markets, Deutsche Bank has held its top position in this publication's pension rankings - but it is all change in the consulting category. Andrew Sheen reports

When Life & Pensions published the results of its second annual pension rankings survey last year, the world was a different place. Lehman Brothers was still a force to be reckoned with on Wall Street, hopes that the credit crunch might prove a minor blip did not seem misplaced and many within the pension sector had never heard of quantitative easing, let alone its effects.
