
Invesco bets on new tech to refine its FX trading
Home-grown tool will improve order routing and execution strategies, asset manager believes

In the middle of last year, when most asset managers were hunkered down in their storm shelters waiting for Covid to blow through, Invesco was introducing a new trading tool for its foreign exchange desk.
It might have seemed a bold move – foolhardy even – to roll out an execution management system (EMS) at a time when volatility was only just settling down from historic highs and trading platforms had been stretched almost to breaking point.
