Many of the grand claims about tokenisation have proved premature. Namely, that the technology will reinvent capital markets; liquidity will migrate onto the blockchain as price discovery moves to new venues; and traditional infrastructure will fade into the background.

This hasn’t happened – yet. But progress is happening in areas where markets most need better plumbing.
