
MarkitServ updates novation process after two-month delay

Yesterday saw a quiet conclusion to a race that started in July 2009 – with MarkitServ creeping over the finish line more than three months behind its rival, middleware provider Ice Link. Both firms had undertaken to change their processes to support new credit derivatives novation practices, but while Ice Link was able to go live on August 31 as planned, MarkitServ missed its October 4 launch date, eventually going live on December 6.
