
New York Fed looks at confirmation issue
New angles

The New York Federal Reserve Bank will meet regulators and leading banks this month in an attempt to deal with backlogs of unconfirmed credit derivatives trades. President Timothy Geithner wrote to 14 Wall Street banks in August to call the meeting on September 15. Representatives from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the German, Swiss and UK financial regulators have also been invited.
