Bank Of New York Hires Paloma To Examine Risk Management Standards

BANK of New York has hired consultants from Greenwich, Connecticut-based Paloma Partners to evaluate the bank's risk management standards.

Paloma has sent Doug Harris to lead the risk management examination at the bank, sources say. Harris, who joined Paloma last year from the US's Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, did not return calls by RMO's press time.

Sources at Bank of New York cast doubt on press reports that Harris may join the bank's risk management staff permanently.
