Kirchman and Tadpole offer disaster recovery alternative
ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- US builder of specialised UNIX laptops, Tadpole, said in September it had formed an alliance with Florida-based banking software firm Kirchman Corporation to provide financial institutions with a disaster recovery alternative to large mainframe systems. Kirchman Corporation has pre-configured its core banking automation software, Kirchman Bankway, into Tadpole's plug-in Sun SPARC notebook.
