Hana Bank selects Nortel Networks’ optical ethernet networking system

SEOUL -- Canadian telecommunications company Nortel Networks said in October that Korea-based Hana Bank had selected an optical ethernet networking system from Nortel Networks. Estimated to be worth approximately US$1 million, the system is supplied through Nortel Networks’ South Korean distributor NetCom Systems

The optical ethernet will connect Hana Bank’s corporate headquarters, customer service centres, disaster recovery sites and some of its largest branches to Korea Telecom’s dense
