Reuters adds US/Singapore dollar forward pair to dealing platform

Dealers will be able to trade US dollar/Singapore dollar forwards on Reuters' electronic matching service from today, according to the UK information and technology group.

Spot trading of the currency pair was introduced on Reuter’s matching system, Dealing 3000, two years ago. Reuters said the latest expansion was in response to market needs.

“A successful run with this new forward would certainly lead us to consider listing other currencies and instruments in the region,” said Nicholas Ohlin, director of Reuters Treasury Broking Service division in Asia.

The Dealing 3000 platform now lists 38 currency pairs in spot and 28 currency pairs in forwards.
