
Single-tranche CDO volumes continue to rise

The volume of single-tranche collateralised debt obligations (CDOs) continued to grow in the third quarter of 2004, with September being the year’s busiest month by far, according to figures recently released by Creditflux.
Average monthly single-tranche CDO volume has now risen to $3.6bn for 2004, from $1.1bn in 2003. For the third quarter, the volume totaled $12.6bn and so far this year, single-tranche CDO volume totaled $32.2bn, over three times the $10.4bn from the first three quarters of
