The Australian structured products market is undergoing a surge in growth according to figures supplied by Barclays Capital. The UK investment bank forecasts the Australian market to show a threefold increase in size from A$6 billion (US$4.6 billion) to $18 billion (US$13.6 billion) during the next three years. The market has already grown from A$2 billion in 2002 to A$6 billion at the end of 2005, making it one of the fastest developing structured products markets in the world.
