Three-month Libor rates fall as stock markets climb

Three-month dollar Libor dropped to 3.42% from 3.46%, euro Libor fell from 4.85% to 4.83%, and sterling Libor decreased from 5.94% to 5.91%.

In the overnight markets, costs of borrowing on the US dollar dropped to 1.14% from 1.23% yesterday, sterling rose 0.01% to 4.8%, and euro rates remained the same at 3.54%.

The Ted spread, which tracks the difference between three-month Libor and US Treasury bills, rose today to 2.75% at 1230 GMT, compared to 2.71% at close of trading yesterday.
