The European Union’s price cap on gas futures could fatally undermine the bloc’s energy markets, a senior executive at Ice has warned.

“I don’t think any of us in this industry have a long-term future if we’re going to have artificial price signals imposed on us,” said Christopher Edmonds, chief development officer at the exchange operator, speaking on a panel at the International Swaps and Derivatives Association’s annual general meeting in Chicago earlier today (May 11).
