Eurex to launch Asian product suite in 2016

Frankfurt-based firm's Asian ambitions not limited to setting up a CCP, explains chief executive as he outlines plans to boost headcount in Singapore from 2015

Eurex is intending to complement the planned launch of a Singapore clearing house with a raft of Asia-specific products which it expects to debut in 2016, according to the firm's chief executive Andreas Preuss.

The Frankfurt-based firm previously announced that it was planning to launch a central counterparty (CCP) in Singapore in the first quarter of 2015, although some market sources have expressed scepticism over this proposed timeframe.
